The auditions are set to run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but keep in mind that there’ll be a break from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM to recharge those creative batteries!

What’s the Buzz?

This audition is for understudy roles in two exciting plays: “Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes” and “Creditors”. Produced by Showtown Downtown LLC, Together, and Audible, these plays are set to captivate audiences with their compelling storytelling. Respected playwright Hannah Moscovitch is behind the scripts, and the talented Ian Rickson will be directing!

Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, this is your chance to show off your skills. Make sure to prepare your headshot and resume, which should be stapled together before arriving. When you get there, you’ll be handed sides to work with on the day of the auditions, so you can get right to the good stuff!

The casting director for this event is none other than Jim Carnahan, known for his eye for talent. Expect to see some familiar faces among the notable cast in “Creditors”, including Live Schreiber as Gustav, Maggie Siff as Tekla, and Justice Smith as Adi.

This audition is specifically seeking Equity actors to fill these understudy roles. To secure your place, don’t forget to bring your Equity Membership card along! Additionally, there will be an Equity monitor present to ensure everyone feels welcome and valued, as Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination and actively encourage performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, ages, and abilities to join in.

For Future Stage Managers

Also on the lookout are Equity Stage Managers for the upcoming production of “Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes & Others”. Although current stage management positions are filled, they are accepting submissions for future consideration. The minimum weekly salary for a Stage Manager is $1,661, while an Assistant Stage Manager can expect a minimum of $1,523 weekly.
