The Washington, D.C. program will run from May 23 to May 31, 2025, and will accommodate 10 interns who will delve into the intricacies of business as it intersects with government regulations. Their training will cover essential topics including workplace dynamics, technology, small business issues, and the complexities surrounding student loans. This cohort will be overseen by Paul Albergo, who previously held the position of executive editor at Bloomberg Industry Group.
Meanwhile, the New York City program is set to follow closely after, from May 31 to June 7, 2025, also preparing 10 interns. This group will concentrate on refining key journalistic skills such as writing, pitching stories, and conducting effective interviews. The New York City program is co-led by Sara Silver, a seasoned business reporter, and Garry D. Howard, who serves as the director of corporate initiatives at American City Business Journals and is also a member of the News Fund board.
The interns set to partake in the New York City program hail from various distinguished universities and will report on significant economic developments across different ACBJ (American City Business Journals) markets. The following individuals have been selected:
