Glasgow, Scotland – President Donald Trump arrived in Scotland on Friday for a five-day trip that includes discussions on trade and a round of golf at his Turnberry resort, amid protests from local residents. The President’s visit comes at a significant time as he prepares for an upcoming state visit to the UK in September.
Trump’s Air Force One landed at Glasgow Prestwick Airport (GPA), located roughly 50 miles from his golf resorts in Turnberry and Aberdeen. During his stay, he is scheduled to meet with British and Scottish leaders to discuss various issues, particularly trade relations.
The visit to Trump Turnberry, which boasts three golf courses designed by Willie Fernie, is a highlight of Trump’s trip.
