New York – Capital One has officially opened its latest airport lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in Terminal 4. The lounge spans an impressive 1,250 square meters (approximately 13,500 square feet) and is designed to provide travelers with an enhanced, relaxing space while they await their flights.
The lounge features design elements inspired by New York City, including a Central Park-themed dining area and a Manhattan-style bar. Artwork plays a significant role in the aesthetics, with over 40 original pieces by local New York artists adorning the walls. A striking hanging glass sculpture by Shakuff Custom Lighting, a Brooklyn-based company, adds a unique touch to the lounge’s interior.
Capital One has partnered with Murray’s Cheese to create a cheesemonger experience, allowing guests to enjoy curated cheese boards. The dining options further include a full-service espresso bar serving bagels from Ess-a-Bagel and coffee from Bean & Bean Coffee Roasters. The menu also showcases bespoke cocktails crafted in collaboration with Unfiltered Hospitality, alongside grab-and-go items and a rotating selection of small plates, such as wild arugula panzanella and Berkshire pork shank with pea risotto.
Guests can enjoy a variety of amenities, including 24/7 access to the lounge, which is particularly appealing for travelers on late-night or early-morning flights. The lounge features daily rituals with roaming trolley carts offering snacks and drinks, including an Italian-style shaken iced coffee and a unique “Midnight Snack” option available at 12:30 a.m.
Access to the lounge is complimentary for Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders, while Venture and Spark Miles cardholders can enter for a fee of $45. Non-cardholders have the option to purchase entry for $90. To gain entry, guests must present a valid boarding pass along with an approved identification.
The opening of the JFK lounge is part of Capital One’s ongoing expansion of its lounge network, which began in 2020 and included openings in major airports such as Dallas/Fort Worth, Washington Dulles, Denver International, and Las Vegas. Positioned in Terminal 4, which mainly serves Delta Air Lines and various international carriers, the JFK lounge aims to cater to a robust traveler base.
Future changes to access policies for guests and authorized users are planned to take effect on February 1, 2026. The lounge also offers two private rooms that can be booked for 45 minutes and is equipped with sleek private showers and a parents’ room to accommodate families traveling with young children.
Beyond its visual appeal, the lounge’s food experience is notable, featuring freshly made bagels, a diverse cold buffet with salads and light bites, and a dessert selection. Hot food can be ordered via QR code menus available throughout the lounge. A rotating selection from the in-house cheesemonger ensures that guests can always find something new, with frequent updates reflected on handwritten menus.
Lounge-goers have access to fast and free Wi-Fi, numerous power outlets, and USB-C ports, making it convenient to stay connected while traveling. The overall ambiance is designed to offer a sense of escape from the hustle and bustle of the airport environment, enabling visitors to relax or work efficiently.
