Menu highlights include Virginia oysters, country ham, pimento cheese croquettes, buttermilk fried chicken, and deviled eggs. Moreover, director Kat Foster has curated a drink selection that also adopts Southern influences, featuring concoctions like honey-butter-washed whiskey.

Another noteworthy opening is Blue Peak Villa located at 175 East Houston Street, where Culinary traditions from the Qing Dynasty take center stage. Executive Chef Jian Wu, whose family has a history of cooking for an empress, will tantalize guests with dishes such as aromatic Yunnan chicken, flamed golden eggs finished tableside, and caramelized pork ribs accented with black vinegar. Additionally, patrons can enjoy Zhong Guo Xiao Long Bao at another location on 200 Allen Street, specializing in soup dumplings and spicy wontons.

In Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, Lele’s Roman has transformed the former As You Are space into a fresh culinary destination for fans of Italian cuisine. Chef Francesco Battisti leads this new venture at 252 Schermerhorn Street, focusing on Roman-style pasta dishes that include cacio e pepe, carbonara, and amatriciana.

Freehand Hotel New York is giving its four-year-old restaurant Comodo a refresh with an exciting new menu inspired by Latin American cuisine. Chefs Felipe Donnelly and Tamy Rofe will highlight offerings such as sea bream ceviche and spaghetti a la Huancaina, establishing a vibrant dining experience at the hotel located at 23 Lexington Avenue.

Meanwhile, Minuto Bauli has opened its first U.S. storefront and bakery at 866 Broadway, introducing New Yorkers to delectable Italian treats. Known for their Italian Twinkies filled with various creams, customers can expect fresh baked goods prepared on-site and filled to order.

The Caribbean fast-food chain Juici Patties is also expanding its footprint in New York City with locations in Bed-Stuy and the Bronx. Both outlets at 1293 Fulton Street in Brooklyn and 610 Exterior Street in the Bronx Terminal Market have experienced robust popularity, with over 24,000 patties sold in their first week. The franchise plans to continue its expansion efforts across the city.

In late June, Comfortland will unveil a new Manhattan location at 92 Rivington Street. Renowned for its hearty comfort foods such as loaded fried chicken sandwiches and croissant breakfast sandwiches, Comfortland originated in Astoria in 2010 and opened a location in Williamsburg earlier this year.

Adding to the cafe scene, Kijitora has opened its third location at 534 East 14th Street in the East Village. This Japanese cafe offers coffee, lattes, and various sandwiches, although the popular Neko grilled cheese sandwiches will not be available at this particular site. The East Village location started welcoming customers on May 23.
